Republic of Ireland manager Mick McCarthy has been named as the Philips Manager of the Year at a reception in the Berkley Court Hotel today. McCarthy was not present to collect his award which was presented to his daughter Anna. The biggest cheer of the afternoon was for the former Irish Rugby coach Warren Gatland, who was winner of the monthly award in October.
