Paralympics: Silver medal for Irish

Ireland has won another silver medal on the penultimate day of the Paralympic Games in Sydney. Mary Rice from Co Down was upgraded to silver in the 400m after a British athlete was disqualified from moving outside her lane. This is Ireland's ninth medal in the tournament making it one of the most successful Games for the Irish team. Other Irish athletes in action today were Patrice Dockery who broke her own Irish record in the 5,000m with a time of 12min 48.10sec, earning her sixth place in the race, and John Fulham, who unfortunately finished last in the final of the 100m.
