The Irish Canoe Union have expressed their regrets at the news of the death of Irish freestyle kayak canoeist Nuamh Tompkins. Niamh Tompkins a qualified canoeing instructor from Galway was tragically drowned in a swimming accident in New Zealand. She had been competing in the World Freestyle Kayak Championships.
