Dr.Elisabeth Kübler-Ross was a Swiss-American psychiatrist, a pioneer in near-death studies and the author of the groundbreaking book On Death and Dying (1969), where she first discussed her theory of the five stages of grief.
On The Leap of Faith this week, we talk about her work and her approach to the end of life with Dr Mary Stefanazzi, who completed her training with the Kübler-Ross foundation and first met the doctor in 1989.
Also on this week’s programme, we take another opportunity to hear an interview with the late Rev James Good. FrGood told us of his experiences 50 years ago this year when he lost his privileges to preach when he spoke out against the then Pope’s encyclical on contraception. Fr. Good died on March 21st this year.
