Story Notes
A documentary into the extrordinary life of Countess Constance Markievicz.
Born into a wealthy Anglo-Irish family in 1868, this documentary chronicles her extrordinary life, from her participation in the 1916 rising, to her time spent as part of the Irish Cabinet.
Looking past her political activities and interests, we also hear about her love of the simpler things in life- her Children, her Ford Model-T and her garden.
This documentary is a personal insight into this extrordinary life recounted by members of Markievicz's family.
Producer: Betty Purcell
