Magsafe Powerbanks
Ideal for anyone with an iPhone 12 or later. These phones have a magnetic ring that lets you snap accessories to them - most popular of which are powerbanks. iPhones aren't famed for battery life. You can get a MagSafe battery that snaps onto iPhone for well under € 50. Look out for the likes of Anker of uGreen - they’re generally reputable and reliable. Some come with little kick stands too - great for on a flight or the train.
ThermPro Cooking Probe
If you know someone in your life that loves cooking - I can’t recommend a cooking thermometer enough. Totally changed how I understood cooking times, how my oven works and the likes. From salmon to roast beef - a probe like this with revolutionise how someone cooks in the kitchen. The good news is these are relatively cheap too. You can gets some that are smart, but personally I just like a simple digital probe
Xiaomi Smart Band 10
A great value fitness tracker. Sub € 40 fitness tracker. Battery life lasting well over a week, activity tracking and sleep tracking - just be confident you wont offend anyone with a fitness tracker for christmas.
Chipolo Loop or Card
We all know someone who can never find their keys or wallet. In my house, that’s me. These trackers safe me from arguments delaying getting out of the house weekly. This year, the trackers made two massive leaps. Chipolo is a Slovenian company making trackers similar to airtags. But these work with both Android and iOS and are rechargeable. Great value at under 50 quid and now rechargeable!

PagoPace Payments Ring
This is the ideal gift for someone who loves having something to show off. I got one of these a little over a year ago and I would say 97% of the times I use it - it blows peoples minds.
In short, it’s a ring that connects to my payment card and lets me pay for things up to 50 quid by fistbumping card machines. Honestly - it blows minds.
You never have to charge it, can control the card linked to it in an app and it just does payments. No fitness or sleep tracking.
Shokz OpenFit 2
Generally speaking - audio accessories are a solid Christmas gift. You can also get something decent at every price point. On the value end, look out for JBL or Soundcore - and try to keep ANC in the mix - this is active noise cancelling - essential for commuting.
Naturally - air pods are a big christmas gift for iPhone customers and Samsung buds are also fantastic ear buds for android users.
But my favourite earphone of the year is from a lesser known brand - Shokz. They’ve made an open ear earphone that loops around your ear. It’s designed to leave you aware of your surroundings - so it’s great for runners, cyclists - or myself on the scooter.

Wearables: Pixel Watch 4
Shopping for a smartwatch can be really easy. If they have an iPhone just get them an Apple watch of some sort. Maybe new, maybe refurbished. But on Android it’s a little tricker.
I’ve been daily driving the Pixel Watch 4 for a few months now and I love it.
I get fitness tracking, sleep tracking, control over devices at home and being able to send messages from my wrist.

Loco Motion Pro Electric Scooter
I commute regularly through dublin city centre, and last week I didn’t even notice the extra traffic caused by the strike. I have an electric scooter from Irish company Loco - the Locomotion pro. It meets all the regs for being used in Ireland, including weight and speed limits set in an app. This particular model is one of few rated for water resistance and LOCO is so confident they promise to replace it if it’s water damaged.
Meta RayBans
The Meta RayBans are an incredible thing to have but they are a really premium gift idea. I class them as the "I would love to have them, but I’m never going to buy them myself" category.
This is for someone that fancies being a bit of a content creator or even small business owners looking to create some fresh content ideas.
I captured a last minute winner at a Liverpool game earlier in the season and being able to capture that moment while still living it - undistracted by holding onto a phone - was absolutely amazing.
I recommend getting reactive lenses if you can - that way you have a camera in your glasses inside and out regardless of the weather.
Nintendo Switch 2
The Switch 2 is the big new console on the market for 2025. It released earlier this year and it’s great. The game selection right now - is a little limited, but the majority of the original switch 1 catalogue is compatible with it.
This console is popular with everyone - gamers and families looking for a console. It’s a handheld console for mobile gaming, but comes with a dock for gaming on the TV with others.
You can play mario kart with friends, or explore the world of zelda on your own in bed or on the bus.
The stock levels on this one could be a little tricky, so make your move early if you’re after this one. Also - internet connection is important for set up, so you might want to ask Santa to have some of the set up done before Christmas morning.
