Episode Notes
On tonight's programme we hear how the number of Navy ships available for active service has dropped dramatically over the past year.

Senator Gerard Craughwell tell us how only four Navy ships are in service at the moment. Three were decommissioned last year and two are now in dry dock for repairs.
Joe Hawes, the owner of Coastline Shipping tell us what he feels should happen to the three decommissioned ships and how the last Irish Navy ship which was sold ended up in the hands of a Libyan warlord.
Norman Freeman remembers how he was recruited from maritime college in Dublin to join the Marconi company as a radio officer and so began a life at sea.
And Andrew Crowley of Sherry Fitzgerald auctioneers in Westport, tells us about the lighthouse on Clare Island is for sale but with a hefty price tag of €4.8 million.
