The OPW has announced the return of the Biodiversity Festival and Honey Show at Phoenix Park, Dublin on Saturday September 6th 2025.

This free family-friendly event showcases "the art of bee-keeping, biodiversity and the Phoenix Park." The great programme includes forest bathing, mythological tree tours, pond dipping, the honey show, free tours, lectures, and activities catering for nature enthusiasts both young and old.

There will be a number of free educational workshops, talks and tours on beekeeping, the animals of the Phoenix Park and on a variety of other interesting topics. Some of these include talks by Kate Chandler of the National Biodiversity Data Centre on Invasive Species. OPW Ecologist, Criostóir Mac Cuirc, will discuss enhancing and maintaining biodiversity in our communities.

There will also be tours of the beautifully restored Victorian Walled Garden on the day and face painters.
