Unfortunately for Dr. Eva Orsmond and her professional dancing partner Sean Smullen, that’s exactly what she heard.

I have been preparing myself from the start, to be the first. I didn't think I was as good as the others. But then, I was hoping in my head that I was being too critical of myself.

Following on from a disappointing 12 points from the judges last week, her 14 points last night was a sign of things to come. And when the public vote came through, Eva and Sean's departure from Dancing with the Stars was confirmed last night. Speaking to Ryan Tubridy this morning, she looked back on her time on the show.

“You hope until the end that you stay, you stay. I was preparing myself to go, but at the same time, when you are standing there with the last three, you say, “please God, I don’t want to hear my name”.

Eva and Sean's choice of dance was the cha-cha, performed to the music of 'Nowhere to Run' by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas. Judges Brian, Loraine and Darren scored five, five and four points, respectively, but despite all that preparation for her departure, Eva remained hopeful to the end.

“I have been there before, that wasn’t the first time. You would think, did she not get used to it? NO! Because I loved it!”
