Today, Baz Ashmawy invited his mum, Nancy, and her newfound 'partner in adventure', Sr. Patricia Wall, into the studio where Ray D’Arcy normally sits. A studio exclusive!
Baz interviewed his mammy for the first time ever. And the reason why? As part of the 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy TV series, Nancy skydived out of an airplane, all because she was inspired by Sr. Wall, who she had heard had skydived for charity.
Today, Nancy and Sr. Patricia met for the first time, but Baz was quite put out that they met in the canteen of the Radio Centre, and not on air as was his plan.
Baz also recalled how he, himself, had been put on the spot where his mother, who wanted him to join her in the sky.
“Initially, you said to me, would you do a skydive with me? And I thought, you need to up your meds. And I said, not a chance!”
