Brian Cullinan from PwC is one of two people tasked with the smooth running of announcing the winners of the Oscars, on behalf of the Academy.

"We have a special suitcase… briefcase. We have two actually."

He spoke with Richard Curran on The Business on RTÉ Radio 1 prior to this years ceremony, which went on to provide one of the biggest gaffes in Oscar's history.

As we now know, La La Land was announced as the winner of the Best Picture Oscar in error. The award was later given to Moonlight.

PwC has released a statement apologising for the mix-up, saying that "the presenters had been given the wrong category envelope."
