With water services now likely to be funded through general taxation, where does that leave taxpayers living in rural Ireland on private schemes, who will continue to pay for their own services?

On The Late Debate, Cormac Ó hEadhra put this question to the panel, as well as asking if water metering is the best way to find those who overuse water.

He was joined by Fine Gael Senator Michelle Mulherin, David Gibney from Right2Water, Sinn Féin MEP for Dublin Lynn Boylan, Leader of the Green Party, Eamon Ryan, and Katherine O’Donnell of Justice for Magdalenes.
