The question of what Enda Kenny should or should not say when he meets Donald Trump at the White House later today has been the source of much debate this week.
Nigel Farage told Sean O'Rourke yesterday that Kenny should apologise to Trump "for saying vile things about him". Last night Kenny ruled that out, saying he was not in Washington DC to answer to Farage, and besides, he said Trump's comments were racist. Which is different, apparently.
Fine Gael MEP Brian Hayes and Sinn Féin TD David Cullinane went head to head on The Late Debate with John Murray last night on what has become the most contentious St. Patrick's Day visits in a long time.
They were joined by Social Democrats TD Catherine Murphy, Tara Buckley of RG DATA, and DCU Economist, Tony Foley.
