It’s 20 years to the day since the death of comedian Dermot Morgan in 1998. Morning Ireland paid tribute to the late comic with a look back at his career.
As a satirist on Scrap Saturday, the inimitable Father Trendy on The Live Mike and of course, as Father Ted Crilly, Morgan carved out a path of his own in Irish comedy. Ensuring that, 20 years after his death, he is still making people laugh.
RTÉ Archives celebrated Morgan’s work, assembling some of the “many voices of Dermot Morgan” from RTÉ’s archival footage.
