Town criticises lack of consultation on refugees
The town of Clogheen in Tipperary was told last week that 40 refugees would be moving in to a disused hotel in the town's main street. The town has a population of 400 and they are extremely upset at the lack of consultation with them on the locating of such a large number of refugees in such a relatively small town. At a meeting the community decided that, as a result, it could not welcome the refugees in to the town.
