While he's best known as a true jazz legend, Duke Ellington also made his mark in classical music and even film scores. But here’s something you might not know — he could’ve been a brilliant food blogger too. In one interview, Ellington shared stories of his favourite dishes from around the world, from chicken liver omelets in Los Angeles to octopus soup in Paris. He clearly loved fine dining — one restaurant he adored in the Netherlands offered 85 different hors d’oeuvres, and he tried them all. But when it came to the best fried fish he’d ever had, his pick was refreshingly simple — a small shack in St. Petersburg, Florida. As he put it, 'It’s just a little shack, but they can sure fry fish.
