Across the schedule on RTÉ lyric fm, for the duration of Seachtain na Gaeilge, we will be celebrating our language with a new short feature series presented by folklorist Billy Mag Fhloinn, which explains unique phrases and words as Gaeilge and their origins. Billy tells us stories of the "Púca" which appears as flowers in foxgloves called Méaranta púcaí, and in a haunting tune from the Blasket Islands, Port na bPúcaí. We also learn about the "Glas", which isn't confined at all to the limitations of the colour green as we are lead to believe.
