With 24 countries represented, the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition is now regarded as one of the leading events for classical singers all over the world. It is committed to discovering and encouraging the development of Irish and international vocal talent.
The competition's international jury have arrived in Dublin and will be chaired by Baritone, Sir Thomas Allen and also includes the renowned conductor, Maestro Carlo Rizzi; Jonathan Friend of The Metropolitan Opera, New York, Irish National Opera, and Royal Swedish Opera. Christina Scheppelmann, Seattle Opera and La Monnaie Opera House, Brussels; Tobias Hasan, Staatsoper, Berlin; soprano Suzanne Murph; and David Lomeli, Sante Fe Opera and Bavarian State Opera.
Tickets for the Grand Final with the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Wyn Davies on Tuesday 28th January are still available at the NCH online or at the Box Office. It will be presented by Liz Nolan and broadcast live on RTÉ lyric Live with Paul Herriott from 7.00pm.
