Simon Delaney presents Sunday Afternoon with Simon Delaney on RTÉ lyric fm.

Simon has been working extensively as an actor, director and writer for over twenty years in Ireland, the UK and the US. Television credits include Bachelors Walk (RTÉ), Pulling Moves (BBC), The Good Wife (CBS), The Fall (BBC), Trollied (SKY), Moone Boy (SKY), That Dirty Black Bag (Bron Studios), Modern Love (Amazon), and Inside Man (BBC/Netflix). Simon has received four Best Actor nominations at the IFTA's. Most recently he appeared in The Woman in the Wall alongside Ruth Wilson for BBC/SHOWTIME.

He has worked in theatre, making his West-End debut in Marie Jones Stones in his Pockets. Other stage credits include Roddy Doyle’s The Snapper in 2020 (Gate theatre), Glengarry Glenross (Andrews Lane), Art (The Mill theatre), Gerry Springer the Opera (Bord Gáis Energy Theatre), Driving Miss Daisy (Gaiety theatre), 42nd Street (Gaiety theatre) and The Full Monty (Olympia theatre). Most recently he appeared in Arthur Miller's The Price (Gate theatre).

Film credits include The Conjuring 2 (Warner Bros), Delivery Man (DreamWorks), This Must Be The Place (Pathé Films), Alpha Papa (BBC), and Role Play (Studio Canal).

A constant presence on radio, Simon has hosted across RTÉ Radio 1, 2FM, RTÉ lyric fm and Newstalk, and has hosted a number of podcast series.

Simon recently signed a publishing deal with Rare Bird books in Los Angeles, for his debut novel, a crime-fiction epic set in London and Paris during World War II, due for release August 2024.
