Paul presents RTÉ lyric Live, Opera Night, and has presented The National Symphony Orchestra Live for both RTÉ lyric fm, RTÉ Culture (online), and RTÉ One Television.
As a founder presenter on RTÉ lyric fm, he presented The Blue of the Night for several years, as well as the mid morning show In Tempo and over the last decade, The Lyric and Friday Concerts live from The National Concert Hall.
Paul has presented numerous live concerts and festivals throughout Ireland and, via the European Broadcasting Union and Arte, to countries across Europe and beyond, including the West Cork Chamber Music Festival, Wexford Festival Opera, Dublin International Piano Competition, BBC Proms (from the Royal Albert Hall), Composing the Island, and the Prague Spring Festival, as well as the annual New Year's Day Concert from Vienna with the Vienna Philharmonic (RTÉ One Television).
He has written and presented several musical features for radio including Art Thou Troubled-The Life of Kathleen Ferrier, Bailero! - Songs of the Auvergne, and Notes from the Fire (The life of Anita Lasker-Wallfisch). Paul was a presenter of the first all-Ireland arts review television programme (in the 90's) Opening Nights for RTÉ/UTV.
He presented The Other Side of Midnight, A Game of Two Halves, on BBC Radio 5, and appeared on Loose Ends as a reporter for BBC Radio 4.
For several years Paul has been an active supporter of, and Patient Advocate for The Irish Skin Foundation.
