All this week on Classic Drive, Lorcan will feature music from Kitty Whately & Edwidge Herchenroder's 'Horizons.'
French chanson is rich with history, and mezzo-soprano Kitty Whately dives deep for pearls that have rarely get to see the surface. Especially noteworthy are the pieces by Lili Boulanger, Margeurite Canal, Rita Strohl, and Armande de Polignac, four often-overlooked female composers of the late 19th and early 20th century. Together with pianist Edwidge Herchenroder, Whately gives life to these beautifully-crafted songs.
