Knockmitten Youth Choir is a vibrant voluntary amateur church choir made up of enthusiastic singers aged 10 to 30+. Open to all, with no prior music training required- the choir welcomes anyone with a willingness to learn, grow and share in the joy of community music-making.
The group rehearses for one hour every Wednesday and leads the singing at 11.30a.m mass every Sunday, as well as at major liturgical celebrations including Easter, Christmas and Pentecost.
Under the direction of Áine Nolan, and supported by a wonderful dedicated senior leadership team, the choir strives to enrich parish worship through heartfelt, prayerful singing, choosing hymns relevant to the liturgy & readings of the day.
Beyond music, the choir is deeply committed to building a faith-filled community, offering members opportunities to connect through fun activities, social events, and occasional weekends away. Together they create a welcoming space where friendships flourish, confidence grows, and a shared love of faith and music unites all who join.
