Notes
Cór Geal was founded by its conductor & musical director, Betty Fitzgerald in 2009. It is a 4-part mixed choir of some 55 adults based in Whitechurch, Co. Cork. It’s varied and uplifting repertoire includes Irish, sacred, popular, jazz, classical and contemporary music. Cór Geal has become renowned for its exciting and popular choral concert productions presented every two years. Over the last 14 years, Cór Geal has raised thousands of euro for charity and has enjoyed much success in choral competition. Activities carried out in the choir include rehearsing, performing, travelling, and generally having a good time together. Cór Geal adds to the diversity and social inclusion of community life, provides musical education for members, and is happy to sing anywhere from the local Church to the Cork Opera House – which we have filled to capacity in 2019 and again in 2022.
