A woman in her 20s has been killed in a road accident in Co Leitrim.
It happened just before 1pm this afternoon on the N4 at Drumsna.
A second woman, who is also in her early 20s, is in a critical condition as a result of the accident. The two women are believed to be sisters.
Earlier in north Belfast, a 33-year-old motorcyclist died after a road crash in Newtownabbey.
The man’s motorcycle was in a collision with a car on the Doagh Road shortly after 7.30am.
In Co Down, a motorcyclist died following a collision with another vehicle in Bangor yesterday. He was taken to hospital but died later from his injuries. His name has not yet been released.
And in a separate accident in Co Down, an 11-year-old girl remains critically ill in hospital after being knocked down between Millisle and Ballywalter yesterday.
Her eight-year-old sister was also injured in the accident.
Police say the driver of a car lost control and struck the two children.
