A drama documentary by Ann-Marie Power about the fascinating story behind Maria Gertrudis Hore, an Irish-Spanish poet from the 18th century.

Wed at 19, her husband often away at sea, she began an affair with a brigadier. However, the guilt of her deception weighed heavy on her mind and at the age of 35 she decided to enter a convent.

This piece takes a look at this fascinating womans life right up until her death in the convent of Santa Maria de Cadiz on August 9th, 1801.
