Story Notes
A documentary about the fishing industry in Ireland, with a focus on the Donegal fishing villiage of Killybegs.
As the fishing industry continued to grow in 1970's Ireland, fishermen discuss the battle they face against foreign trawlers who abuse Irish fishing laws.
With the government teetering on a decision to impliment a 50 Mile limit within Irish shores for these foreign trawlers, it is certainly an important time for the Irish fishing industry.
Produced and presented by John Skehan.
Contributors: Patrick Mc Alliard, Francis Mc Alliard, Noel Mac Ging, Tony Linnane (Aran), James Mc Cloud, Peter Wynne, Peter Pringle, Sean Mc Guinness,
Albert Swan, Joe Bourke.
First broadcast 17th April 1977
