Story Notes
Sean MacReamoinn travels to the Soviet Union to examine everyday life there. He meets Margarita on his travels with her father - they speak of Latvia, Estonia, Georgia, Lenningrad.
He visits palaces of culture and community centres. He meets Alex and Olga and they tell of Moscow life and activities, pop music, stress in sport, travelling and the young, summer work in the USSR, working for the communist party, party rights and free speech and the importance of public good.
Sean also attends church and meets some of the church going public in Russia. He speaks of the situation in Armenia, the rebuilding of Leningrad and meets with Tatian, a University teacher who gives an insight into the stand of living of cost of everyday life in the Soviet Union.
