The 20th Dáil was elected at the 1973 general election and first met on 14th March. It was a coalition government formed by Fine Gael and the Labour Party led by Liam Cosgrave, the Fine Gael leader, as Taoiseach, and Brendan Corish, the Labour party leader, as Tánaiste.
In this programme, John Bowman is joined in studio by three members of the new cabinet - Garret Fitzgerald (Minister of Foreign Affairs), Justin Keating (Minister for Industry and Commerce), Declan Costello (Attorney-General). Rodney Rice speaks to the new Taoiseach about the priorities of the new government.
