The annual FBD Milk Rás is one of the most remarkable events in Irish sport. Covering some 836 miles, the FBD Milk Rás is one of the longest amateur stage races in the world. Every year, like one big extended family, virtually the same people turn up to guide the race around the country.

In this documentary, Roy Willoughby goes behind the scenes of the 1996 Rás as over 300 people, less than half of them on bikes, work their way in a clockwise direction around Ireland.
