Niamh O’Herlihy (20), her sister Anita O’Herlihy (17) and their friend Carmel Conroy (21) were all members of the band "Nivita".
The three girls -and Carmel's twenty one month old daughter Emma - all died on the 27th of October 1999 in a tragic car accident.
Niamh (20) was a journalism student in her final year at Griffith College, she was the founder, lead singer, songwriter and driving force behind the band.
Niamh was known for her organisational skills, charismatic personality, love of horses, the fact that she never took a drink, and was always the life and soul of every party.
Anita (17) had just completed her leaving certificate and had taken a year out before attending college to concentrate on music and her modelling career. Anita was a backing vocalist for the band, she played guitar and was a talented pianist.
Carmel (21) had previously worked for an Internet consultancy firm and had also decided to concentrate on her music career. Carmel too, was a backing vocalist and she was extremely gifted at co-ordinating harmonies.
Emma Conroy at 21 months was their number one fan having attended all rehearsals.
