
Aidan O'Donovan
Documentary MakerAidan O'Donovan is a writer and performer based in Dublin.
He began producing web cartoons in the early 2000s while studying Multimedia, and transitioned to TV with the satirical animation series, Langerland, co-written with long time collaborator Colm Tobin.
Aidan has gone on to write and perform on kids TV series, Science Fiction, and the award-winning Brain Freeze, produced for CBBC & RTE, and distributed worldwide by Aardman. The show is currently in its third series, with 44 episodes completed.
In 2017 he formed the production company Turnip & Duck along with fellow writer and producer Colm Tobin. They are continuing to develop new content for children's TV, while also exploring new forms of storytelling for wider audiences.
Radio 1 comedy commission, Surviving Ireland: The Digital Detox is the company's first production. Aidan also holds a qualification in Jazz Performance, and has worked as a music educator and a session musician.
