Originally from India, Pranjali is a graduate of life sciences and has post-graduate qualifications in media studies. She worked for several years in the television industry in Mumbai before pursuing training in natural history filmmaking and communications in New Zealand. Chance events with completely unforeseen consequences have meant she now finds herself happily settled in county Galway. 

Since moving to Ireland she has directed documentary projects for TG4, the Irish Film Board and has produced nature and wildlife related radio programmes for many radio stations in the west. She works through her freelance media company Siar Media; www.siar.ie
