Fran McNulty has worked with RTE since 2005 as a reporter and presenter. He is an awarding winning journalist who presents Morning Ireland on a regular basis, he has also worked as a presenter on News at one and This Week. Fran is also a reporter with RTE Television on Primetime.

He began his career working in local radio with Shannonside Northern Sound, where is worked as a current affairs presenter and Agricultural Editor.

Over the past ten years he has reported on national and international news stories. He covered the illness and death of former South African President Nelson Mandela and reported from South Africa for several weeks. This year he also reported from the West Bank.

Fran is a native of Longford and for the past number of months has been a regular visitor to St.Mel's cathedral where he has spoken with the project team, the parish team and locals who are looking forward to the re-opening of the new building.
