Aoife Kavanagh is a journalist and documentary producer working in TV, radio and print. Originally from Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, she lives in Dublin.
Her work has taken her to some of the most fascinating and hostile parts of the world including Sudan, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Indonesia and Russia. Highlights include reporting on the 2004 US Presidential Elections and meeting Bruce Springsteen and Bill Clinton in the same 24 hours, flying in a two-seater plane over Eastern Congo and returning to a peaceful East Timor in 2001 for the country’s first elections.
She is passionate about GAA, politics, human rights, reading and running.
As well as producing TV and radio documentaries Aoife is currently completing a Masters in International Relations at UCD.
