
Robert Mulhern
Documentary MakerRobert Mulhern is a London based freelance journalist.
He has worked as a news editor with the BBC, a sports editor with The Irish Post and a digital journalist/editor with Sky Sports.
His RTE Radio documentary, Never Knocked Down, about the life of Connemara boxer Sean Mannion won the 2015 Celtic Media Awards and a gold medal at the New York Festivals.
In 2014, he produced The Garda Who Limped - the story of Whistleblower John Wilson and the penalty points scandal - which took silver at that year’s PPI Radio Awards.
His related journalism on the scandal received a commendation in the Guardian.
‘Mick Meaney - Buried Alive’ is his sixth production for the Documentary on One.

Robert studied journalism in Ballyfermot College for High Education and later under the tutorship of the Press Association. In 2006 he was a Leinster Champion boxer at middleweight.
