Colin Murphy is a journalist, playwright and broadcaster from Dublin.
He studied politics at UCD and at the University of the Witwatersrand, and has reported from Angola, Mozambique, Morocco, Western Sahara and the RASD, as well as the US and various European countries. He writes a weekly column for the Sunday Business Post.
Fishamble Theatre Company has produced his documentary plays, Guaranteed! and Bailed Out! (about the Irish crisis of 2008-2013) and Inside the GPO (about the Easter Rising). He adapted the former for the screen as The Guarantee (which is available on Netflix).
