Helen Shaw is an independent radio documentary-maker based in Dublin.

She was a current affairs producer with RTÉ Radio 1 (1988-1995) and a radio editor with BBC Northern Ireland (1996-1997) before returning to RTÉ Radio as Head of Radio (1997-2002).

She established Athena Media a digital media production company, in 2003 and makes radio documentaries for RTÉ, BBC and Newstalk. She won a Gold Sony Award in 1997 for her work at the BBC and a Gold PPI for Best Music Feature (Tower Songs, RTÉ Lyric fm) 2009.
