Documentary MakerVincent Murphy (Jasper) is a Publican and Undertaker in the Medieval Town of Fethard in Co Tipperary. He graduated from UCD in 1990 with a BA in English and History, though he fully admits to spending more time in Dublin venue's like the Underground, the Baggot Inn and the Belfield Bar listening to bands rather than attending lectures.
At the last minute, he sidestepped his H Dip and went travelling . He then trained as a pilot, met his New Zealand wife Sarah and started a family. They have four daughters.
On Thursday nights he is the drummer in the Pheasant Pluckers.
Growing up in an Irish Pub, he was always surrounded by stories . He has always been writing for local publications and has had articles published in the Irish Country Living Magazine and some short stories in Alice Leahy’s compilations "With Trust in Place " and "Wasting Time With People". Someday he will finish writing his own book about growing up in the family business as a teenage Undertaker.
"100 years, 100 miles" is his first Documentary.
