Deirdre McMahon has worked as a producer and project manager in radio, theatre, and film, including as company co-ordinator for Riverdance and co-producer of the feature film Silent Grace. Deirdre holds a BA in English and an MA in Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama from UCD. She was awarded a PhD for her thesis on Brendan Behan and European Modernism (UCD). Deirdre has contributed essays on Behan's work to the Eugene O’Neill Review and to the volume edited by John McCourt, Reading Brendan Behan. On-screen contributions include to "Kathleen Behan" for the TV series Máthair (TG4).
