Nicola Carr is an Irish academic based in the University of Nottingham, where she writes and researches about crime, punishment and culture.

Her first documentary, "I Hope You Will Be Home Soon" tells the story about her grandmother’s archive, a box of letters that she safeguarded all of her life. It is her first documentary for Documentary on One.
