ALT-J LIVE AT MONTREUX JAZZ CAFE 2012 - THURSDAY, NOV 22
Here are the recent Mercury Prize winners doing a full live show at the famous Montreux Jazz Festival. alt-J's name is pronounced 'alt-J', the delta sign is created when you hold down the alt key on your computer keyboard and punch 'J' on a Mac computer. The symbol has a deeper meaning for the band, as guitarist/bassist Gwil Sainsbury notes, 'in mathematical equations it's used to show change'. The Mercury winning album "An Awesome Wave", forms most of this live set for the lads from Leeds.
Recorded by Couleur 3 (Swiss Radio) at Montreux, on July 4 2012, for the Eurosonic Partnership of the EBU.

ALBUMS OF THE WEEK - GROUSE & CRYSTAL CASTLES
Our albums of the week come from Irish artist Grouse, and that duo that we know so well - Crystal castles. Simply put 'Heads' is a wonderful album put together by Grouse (AKA Ronan Carroll). At the risk of sounding overly gushing, it's been the soundtrack to the past couple of weeks for me...
Crystal Castles are back with their third album 'III'. Led Zep-like in its title, but very much Crystal Castles-like in sound, which is always good.
