A Status Yellow wind warning is in operation in Munster, Connacht, Donegal, Offaly, Laois, Kilkenny, Carlow, Wexford, Wicklow, Kildare, Dublin.
The warning will remain in place until 8pm.

People are being warned of very strong west to northwest winds developing, with widespread gusts of 90-110km/h expected.
Met Éireann said winds will be stronger in coastal areas and over higher ground, with wave overtopping possible.
