On the same day as the local and European elections on 7 June, the people of Limerick will be asked to vote for Ireland's first directly elected mayor.
And all 15 hopefuls for the election took part in a TV debate on Upfront with Katie Hannon on Monday.
Eight candidates faced off in the first part of the programme with seven more taking to the stage in the second half.
The debate was held at the Lime Tree Theatre on the campus of Mary Immaculate College in Limerick in front of an audience of more than 200 people.

Panel one featured Daniel Butler (FG), Frankie Daly (Ind), Ruairí Fahy (PBP-Solidarity), Brian Leddin (Green Party), Elisa O’Donovan (Social Democrats), Maurice Quinlivan (Sinn Féin), Dee Ryan (Fiann Fáil) and Conor Sheehan (Labour).
In part two Katie Hannon was joined by Sarah Beasley (Aontú), Dr Laura Keyes (Rabharta), Jonh Moran (Ind), Caitríona Ní Chatháin (Socialist Party), Helen O’Donnell (Ind), Colm O’Móráin (Ind) and Gerben Uunk (Party for Animal Welfare).
All 15 candidates seeking this new position were asked to outline their credentials for the job that comes with a salary of just under €160,000.
