A man in his 20s has been killed in a single-vehicle crash in Co Carlow.
The crash occurred on the R702 at Ballytiglea between Borris and Goresbridge at around 6.20am.
The man, who was travelling alone, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road remains closed for technical examination with local diversions in place.
Gardaí have appealed to any witnesses, specifically any road user who may have footage (including dash-cam), and was travelling on the R702 between Borris and Goresbridge between 5.30am and 6.30am, to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 913 6620, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
