Man arrested after cannabis worth €2m seized in Clare

A man in his 30s has been arrested after Revenue officers seized €2m worth of cannabis in Co Clare.

The officers seized approximately 100kg of cannabis during the operation.

The joint operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Revenue's Customs Service along with the Clare Divisional Drugs Unit.

The man is being held at a garda station in Co Clare under provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
