Two men, 40s, have been arrested after around €1 million worth of cannabis was seized in Castlebellingham, Co Louth yesterday.
They are currently detained in a Garda North Western Station.
The seizure of 50kg of herbal cannabis was made as a result of joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Revenue's Customs Service.
The seized drugs have been sent for forensic analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
