A cyclist in his 20s has died after being hit by a truck in Dublin city centre.
Shortly before 1pm, gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on the junction of Middle Abbey Street and O'Connell Street.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardaí said that no other injuries were reported.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are at the scene and local traffic diversions are in place.
A post mortem examination is due to take place.
Abbey Street remains closed and Red Line Luas services are currently suspended between Smithfield and The Point. Green Line Luas services are also operating with delays.
Road users are asked to take alternative routes as delays are expected.
Passengers, please be advised that Red Line services are currently not operating between Smithfield and Connolly / The Point. Services are operating between Tallaght / Saggart and Smithfield only. This is due to a non-Luas related incident in the City Centre at O'Connell Street.
