A woman in her 50s has been released without charge and a file prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions following the discovery of the body of a man in his 50s in Cookstown, Dublin 24, on Friday afternoon.
The woman had been arrested yesterday and detained at a Garda station in Dublin.
Gardaí said that investigations are ongoing and that a post-mortem examination had been completed but the preliminary results were not being released for operational reasons.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and are seeking any available camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from anyone who was travelling in the area of the junction of Second Avenue and Cookstown Way, Cookstown, Dublin 24, between 10pm on Thursday, 26 March, and 1.30pm on Friday, 27th March.
