A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the murder of Eoin McCarthy in 2005.
Mr McCarthy, who was 27, was from Ashwood Park in Clondalkin and his body was discovered in Ballinagee, Hollywood, Co Wicklow on 4 November 2005.
Gardaí said the man is being held at a garda station in the eastern region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
They said investigations are ongoing.
