A man in his 40s has been released without charge after being arrested in connection with the murder of Eoin McCarthy in 2005.
Gardaí said the man, who was held at a garda station in the eastern region last night, has been released without charge and that a file would be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
They added that investigations are ongoing.
Mr McCarthy, who was 27, was from Ashwood Park in Clondalkin and his body was discovered in Ballinagee, Hollywood, Co Wicklow on 4 November 2005.
