Two arrested over serious assault in Dublin in January

Two people have been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Dublin city in January.

The alleged assault occurred on North Wall Quay in Dublin 1 at around 11.30pm on 30 January.

A man in his 20s was treated in hospital for serious injuries following the alleged assault.

Today, gardaí arrested a teenage boy and a man in his late teens as part of the investigation.

They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a garda station in Dublin.

Investigations are ongoing.
